I repeat. WE ARE NOT A DAYCARE. Yes, we are cage-free, so you will see dogs running around having a good time. We call this THE MOSH PIT for a reason. A lot of dogs are going to want to relax until they get to go home, but there are some pups who are going to want to party. For this reason, we have to have some strict policies to keep the mosh pit under control:
If your dog doesn't dig other dogs, we won't judge them. BUT, they are probably not a good fit for our environment. We do require a scheduled "audition" for new clients prior to making your first appointment. You will drop your dog off for 10 minutes to see how they do in the mosh pit. A part of our appeal is that your pup gets to make some new friends during their stay (just like making friends at a concert). You typically don't go to a show to see a band that you don't like. Your dog shouldn't come see us if they don't enjoy the company of other dogs. They wouldn't have fun, and this could lead to unnecessary stress, fighting, and a total buzzkill. Please keep it real with us when asking about an appointment. We have some great recommendations for dogs who would do better in a less-interactive salon.
We understand that having a scruffy-shaggy-floofy-fluffy pooch is all the rage right now. However, all that hair requires a rigid (at least) once a month grooming schedule and a ton of at-home care. Truth be told, most people can't realistically keep up with the constant brushing or cost to maintain over 1" of hair, let alone several inches. This leads to (dun dun duuun) mats. And lots of them. They need to come off ASAP, and that is our job as caring dog groomers to do that in the safest way possible. We will never shave your dog for fun. We will shave your dog if that's what you want, or if that is what is best for your matted friend. When your dog's hair gets tangled, it is uncomfortable and can cause all sorts of skin issues. We (as professionals) will determine and communicate with you as to how we need to safely approach the removal of mats from your dog. Trust us. It will grow back. To prevent the dreaded buzzcut, look up "line brushing" on YouTube.
Let's hope we don't have to consider your dog Miles Davis. PLEASE take your dog potty at home before hopping in the car for their appointment. Much like a lot of concerts, restroom options are not ideal, and cleanup can be even worse. We do not take your dogs outside, so please make sure they're emptied out before bringing them to see us.
Indiana State Law requires that all dogs over 3 months of age are current on their Rabies vaccine, although we recommend that your dogs are also current on all vaccinations. This is especially true, since the dogs in our care may interact with one another more so than a traditional salon with kennels. IT IS THE OWNER'S RESPONSIBLITY TO PROVIDE RABIES PAPERWORK AT/BEFORE CHECK IN. You can email it to us, text us, or bring in a hard copy.
PLEASE text or call us if you think you're going to be late. If you are going to be more than 15 minutes late, we may reschedule your appointment.
Life happens. We get it. However, please give us at least a 24 hour heads up if you need to cancel your appointment, so we can fill your spot with another dog who is ready to rock and roll. If your dog is sick or injured, please cancel your appointment until it is cleared by a vet.
**If you're a planner, and you have multiple appointments booked in advance, good for you! However, if you miss 3 appointments in a row (regardless of the reason), all future appointments will automatically be canceled. We are happy to book you one appointment at a time going forward.**
Please don't ghost us. A 'no-show' is a big 'no-no', and this means you didn't show up or at least cancel before your appointment time. If we don't hear from you within 24 hours of your missed appointment, we will require a credit card on file for you as well as a $25 no-show fee tacked onto your next appointment. After 2 offenses, all upcoming appointments will be canceled, and we will require a $50 non-refundable deposit for your appointments going forward. After 3, it's time to find some new friends that know how to groom dogs.
Time for you to pick up your dog, or you will be charged $1 for every minute you are late (after the studio closed for the day).
I ain't sayin' she a gold digger... but we need to get paid at the time of service. We do accept cash, checks, credit cards, and Apple pay. Returned checks will incur a $35 charge. Also, if we do not receive payment on the same day as the service, a 10% late charge per day will be added onto your bill. No money, mo problems.
